Eyelash extensions
Eyelash extensions are a cosmetic process whereby synthetic single fibre polyester thread like materials are applied to create a fuller, longer look. The lashes are soft and curved with a fine polished tip, just like a natural lash. The lashes are virtually weightless, extremely comfortable and do not cause the natural lash to fall out prematurely.
Aiming for an authentic, natural feel, they come in various lengths, colours and thicknesses, and can be worn during sleep, showering and swimming. Eyelash extensions differ greatly from "fake" or "false" eyelashes in that they are applied one extension to one lash, and can last for two to six weeks. They look natural and not like strip lashes.

Procedure
The procedure to attach the extensions is painless, and will take approx one and half to two hours for a full set of extensions with a minimum of 50 lashes per eye. The "lash" is carefully applied with tweezers and a bonding agent. Eyelash extensions are designed to bond to one’s natural eyelash.
Since eyelash extensions shed just like natural lashes, wearers are advised to have them re-applied every 2-3 weeks. The average cycle of your natural eyelashes are approx 6-9 weeks.
Collagen 'anti-wrinkle' gel eye pads are used during treatment to 'perk up' any tired eyes & assist removal of fine lines.
Lash extensions aftercare
To ensure your Nouveau Lashes are long lasting and stay beautiful proper care and maintenance are required.
1. For the first two hours after Nouveau Lashes treatment do not allow water to contact the lashes.
2. For two days after Nouveau Lashes treatment do not steam your face, use a steam bath, swim or wash your face with hot water.
3. Invest in home care products such as the sealant which protects the adhesive, or the gold essence tonic which encourages strong growth of your natural eyelashes. See below.
4. Do not use waterproof mascara or mascara remover on Nouveau Lashes as makeup remover will affect the bonding of Nouveau Lashes. Only use our recommended max2 mascara on Nouveau Lashes (see below).
5. Do not perm Nouveau Lashes.
6. Do not use a lash curler, as it will break both the Nouveau Lashes and natural lashes.
7. Do not rub eyes or Nouveau Lashes when washing face, always pat lashes dry after cleansing or swimming.
8. An occasional short visit to the sauna or swimming pool is fine. However going on a daily basis may cause earlier maintenance as the lashes could prematurely fall off or tilt in a different direction from your natural lash.
